Even better is the non-vintage Mirabelle Brut Rose, which is 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir sourced from the same areas, although here more comes from Marin and Mendocino than Napa, while Sonoma is also included in the mix. This dry rose has a lovely light salmon color, a big, sweet kiss of strawberries, and touches of raspberries and currants. The wine is medium-bodied and very frothy, with well-defined bubbles, and good intensity, dryness and finish. A beauty as well as a terrific value, it should be drunk over the next 1-2 years.

This has the pretty color of pink copper, a delicately yeasty aroma; and rich, sweet flavors of strawberry, lime and toast. It's a little scouring on the palate. The blend is nearly equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
