The Estate Reserve Chardonnay displays a wonderful bright crisp colour, with vibrant citrus, lime zest and hints of butterscotch on the nose. The palate is lush and the creamy texture is underpinned with beautiful mineral notes of toasted almond and vanilla. The finish is fresh with great minerality and with a nervous energy about it.

The 2016 Estate Reserve Chardonnay was matured in 19% new oak and displays much better edginess and mineralite on the nose, coming across as quite Puligny-like in style. The palate is well balanced with a slightly nutty entry, displaying more energy and tension than the 2015 and a touch of lemongrass on the finish. Enjoy this over the next six to eight years.
