This wine is always impressively aromatic, and vivid notes of rose hip and mandarin peel leap out of the glass. The mouthfeel is tightly knit and initially quite shy, though soon concentrated flavors of red fruits and fresh-cut chanterelle enrich and broaden the mid-palate. The finish, at turns intricately structured and unusually generous, is given length and focus by linear acidity.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Baker Ranch Vineyard has slowly unfurling aromas of rhubarb, juniper, cracked pepper and tea leaves. The medium-bodied palate offers concentrated, layered, crunchy flavors framed by chalky tannins and juicy acidity, and it has a long finish laced with citrus and floral perfume.
