1800 Tequila Reposado (50ml)

Reposado tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, this expression from 1800 Tequila falls into the rested category, where the spirit spends time in wood after distillation to soften and take on color. It comes from Casa Cuervo, and like all tequila, it traces back to the blue agave of Mexico's western highlands and valleys.

The reposado style typically lands between the bright, vegetal snap of a blanco and the deeper oak of an añejo, so expect agave character woven together with gentle notes picked up from the barrel. It works neatly in a margarita where the extra roundness holds up against lime and salt, though it's equally at home sipped over a single large cube.
