Grown high above the Napa Valley floor on Atlas Peak, this is a mountain-fruit Cabernet Sauvignon from Addendum Wines, sourced from the Stagecoach Vineyard in the 2018 vintage. Cabernet from Napa's higher-elevation sites tends toward firm structure and concentrated dark fruit, the kind of wine built to reward some patience in the cellar.

Coming from a mountain terroir in the southern part of the valley, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard is all Cabernet that spent 26 months in new French oak. Its medium ruby/purple hue is followed by an impressive nose of cassis and currant fruits supported by notes of iron, tobacco, smoked earth, and rocky mineral nuances. It's another medium to full-bodied, fresh, focused, beautifully pure 2018 that does everything right. It will benefit from short-term cellaring and have two decades of longevity.
