Cabernet Franc grown at altitude in Gualtallary, the cooler high reaches of Tupungato in Mendoza, tends to trade some of the grape's usual leafiness for darker fruit and firmer structure. That is the register Andeluna works in with this Pasionado bottling, a 2022 aged for a year in barrel that leans into ripeness while keeping its shape.

Expect blackcurrant and cassis alongside dried plum, fig and a glint of maraschino cherry, with violet, tobacco, leather and a touch of vanilla filling in behind. There is a stony, gravelly edge to it, and a light herbal note that keeps the fruit honest. The palate is bright and compact, tannins fine and gently gripping, the finish juicy and savory with a refreshing black-fruited lift. Finely put together and built to reward a little patience.
