Lagrein is a dark-skinned grape native to the mountainous vineyards of Alto Adige (Südtirol) in northern Italy, prized for its deep color, brooding dark-fruit character, and firm tannic backbone. This Riserva bottling, Andriano's Tor di Lupo from the 2021 vintage, takes that grape and gives it the extra aging a Riserva designation calls for, yielding a red built for structure and depth rather than easy fruitiness.
