Description
Cannonau is the Sardinian name for Grenache, and on this Mediterranean island it tends to give warm, sun-ripened reds with bright red fruit and a touch of herbal scrub. This bottling from Argiolas, the Costera, draws on that tradition: a still red from the Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, made entirely from the grape, in a vintage (2021) meant to show the variety's generous, open character.

Wine EnthusiastA juicy but umami nose on this wine begins with black cherries, blackberries and plums. Aromas then turn to soy sauce and salty seaweed crackers.
