Ayala's Brut Rosé Majeur is a non-vintage Champagne built around the 2020 harvest, blending 52% Chardonnay with 38% Pinot Noir, rounded out by Meunier and a small measure of still red wine. The combination is designed to preserve freshness and liveliness in the glass.
The wine pours a luminous pink and opens with an expressive bouquet of wild strawberries, crushed roses, wet stone, and grapefruit. It's medium-bodied and approachable, with a delicate, rounded texture that somehow manages to feel both soft and crunchy at once. The finish is clean and pure, trailing white pepper and a whisper of orange zest. This is a balanced, lively Champagne meant for drinking over the next decade or so, when it will show at its freshest and most vibrant.
