Cabernet Sauvignon from California's Central Coast brings structure and dark fruit to the glass, and Bella Union Vineyard's 2019 vintage is a solid expression of the varietal's balance between weight and acidity. This is a wine built to pair with food, with enough backbone to stand up to grilled meats and aged cheeses.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Rutherford) is packed with super-ripe dark cherry, chocolate, spice and licorice. Boisterous and racy, the Rutherford Cabernet is dialed up to the core. I would prefer to enjoy the 2019 over the next decade or so. Here, too, the style is very much on the flamboyant end of the spectrum. (Vinous, January 2022)
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is based on 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, and the rest Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. It’s an outstanding wine, offering old school, complex notes of dried herbs, leather, spice box, and both red and black fruits in a charming, medium-bodied, balanced, satisfying style. Drink it over the coming 10-12 years or more. (Jeb Dunnuck, May 2022)
