Bodegas Juan Gil's Blue Label from Jumilla is a red blend built on Monastrell (60%), with Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) and Syrah (10%). The 2021 vintage spent eighteen months in French and American oak before bottling in May 2023.
The wine presents a deep purple hue and opens with aromas of cotton candy, vanilla, smoke, and candied fruit. On the palate it's indulgent and intense, with oak that feels woven into the wine rather than sitting on top of it. The 2021 shows fresher character than earlier releases, with better balance and a cleaner finish despite the full body.
