A blend of Grenache and Syrah, the two grapes that give the southern Rhône its warmth and spine, this Saint-Esprit bottling comes from Delas Frères in the Côtes du Rhône. It is a still red from the 2024 vintage, made in the approachable, everyday register the appellation is known for.
Red and black fruits sit at the center, threaded with the peppery, herbal lift of garrigue and a note of sappy flowers. The fruit reads clean and pure, and the wine carries itself with charm rather than weight, medium-bodied and focused on the palate. Firmer tannins give it some grip, and the finish holds. It drinks well now and over the next several years.
