Details by Sinegal makes this 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon in Sonoma County from an 80/20 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. It's a wine built on serious fruit and structure without pretense.
The aromatics lean dark and earthy: black currants, darker berries, scorched earth, and lead pencil, with hints of chocolate underneath. On the palate it opens medium to full-bodied with a plush, layered feel and velvety tannins that carry through to a long finish. Succulent red cherry and plum mingle with gravel, incense, licorice, and dried herbs, all held in striking balance. This is a wine with depth and presence, one that stands alongside Cabernets from much pricier California regions and proves that quality isn't determined by zip code.

Coming from Sonoma and based on 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and smaller amounts of Petit Verdot, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Details is a smoking bottle of wine, as well as an incredible value. Darker berries, currants, scorched earth, lead pencil, and hints of chocolate all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a plush, layered mouthfeel, velvety tannins, and a great finish. It's from Sonoma but will stand toe to toe with any number of Napa Cabernet Sauvignons that run two to three times the price. (Jeb Dunnuck, December 2023)
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Details is a dense, potent wine. Succulent red cherry, plum, gravel, incense, licorice and dried herbs are all amplified in this rich, heady Cabernet Sauvignon. All the elements are so well balanced. This is a hugely promising wine from Sinegal. The 2021 is not as dense as some other vintages, but that's not an issue with these vineyard sites.
