Deutz Brut Rosé is a non-vintage Champagne blend built mostly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with just a touch of still red wine to achieve its color. This half-bottle format makes it perfect for a single glass or two without commitment.
The wine shows restraint and charm. Nectarine, raspberry, and pink grapefruit move across the nose, followed by a palate that feels open and approachable rather than heavy or over-extracted. Moderate acidity keeps things lively, and there's a pleasant delicacy to the fruit that makes this an easy wine to enjoy now, whether as an aperitif or alongside lighter fare. The style reads as easygoing and refreshing, not demanding.

The Deutz vintage rosé has been a sweet spot in the portfolio lately, and it continues to do well in sunny, easygoing 2018. Despite being heavily tilted toward Pinot Noir, it's a rather understated style, with just 4% red wine added to the blend. Nectarine, raspberry and sweet pink grapefruit aromas lead to an accessible, open-knit palate, with moderate acidity and some delicacy for the vintage. (Decanter, September 2024)
