Premier Cru Burgundy from a well-regarded corner of Gevrey-Chambertin, this is Pinot Noir from the Aux Combottes vineyard, bottled by Domaine Odoul-Coquard in the 2017 vintage. Aux Combottes sits among the more serious sites on the slope, and the wine reflects that pedigree: structured, savory, built to reward a few years in the cellar rather than consumed on release.
Expect violets and dark cherry on the nose, with an earthy, forest-floor edge that Burgundy drinkers know as sous bois. The palate is balanced and precise, carrying real depth and a quiet power beneath the fruit. It rewards patience, and has been showing well from around 2022 onward.
