Don David Malbec Reserve 2024 (750ml)

High-altitude fruit from Argentina's north gives this Malbec its stamp. Grown in the Cafayate Valley within Salta's Calchaquí region, it comes from Bodega El Esteco under their Don David label, a Reserve bottling of the 2024 vintage. A good portion of the wine spends around a year in barrel, which rounds out the naturally dark, sun-driven character that Salta Malbec tends to carry.

Expect a ripe, generous nose that leans toward dark fruit, with a savory-sweet edge suggesting chutney and soft marmalade. On the palate it's broad and indulgent, with moderate concentration and a balsamic note pulling through the finish. This is Malbec in its fuller, plusher register, easy to enjoy without demanding much of you.
