Fonseca LBV 2019 is a Late Bottled Vintage Port from the Douro region. LBV represents an accessible entry point to vintage Port, wines aged in large wooden vats for four to six years before bottling unfined and unfiltered, offering character and structure without the complexity (or price) of a fully aged vintage declaration.
This wine shows a peppery spine running through plum and dark berry fruit, with notes of dark chocolate and cocoa that add warmth and depth to the finish. The unfined, unfiltered approach gives it a natural texture and presence on the palate. It's drinking well now and will age gracefully for years to come.
