Giuliano Rosati's 2024 Valpolicella Ripasso is a red blend from the Veneto region of northeastern Italy, made in the traditional ripasso style. This method involves re-fermenting the wine on the dried skins left over from Amarone production, which deepens color, texture, and alcohol content beyond a standard Valpolicella.
The result is a wine with more weight and complexity than you'd find in a basic Valpolicella, yet still approachable and food-friendly. Expect red cherry and dark plum fruit, with earthy undertones and a supple tannin structure that makes it suitable for drinking now or cellaring a few years.
