Made entirely from black grapes (a style that lends Champagne more weight and red-fruited depth than blends built on Chardonnay), this Brut comes from Gonet-Médeville in the Champagne region, drawn from Premier Cru fruit and made by the traditional method, with its second fermentation carried out in the bottle. As a Blanc de Noirs it trades some of the delicacy of white-grape cuvées for a fuller, rounder frame.
