Goutorbe-Bouillot Retro 1980-2015 and 2000-2015 BdB (750ml) *

Made entirely from Chardonnay, this Blanc de Blancs comes from grower-producer Goutorbe-Bouillot in Champagne, and the Retro label points to a blend drawn across multiple vintages (reserves reaching back to 1980 and 2000 married with more recent material). Like all Champagne, it is made by the traditional method, with the second fermentation that builds its bubbles taking place in the bottle. A wine built for the crispness and finesse that Chardonnay-only cuvées from the region are known for.
