Aged twelve years in Tennessee, this whiskey comes from Jack Daniel's, the Lynchburg distillery whose name has long been shorthand for the state's whiskey tradition. This is the third batch in the twelve-year lineup, a longer-matured expression that spends over a decade in oak before bottling. The extra time in the barrel is the point here, drawing out depth that shorter-aged whiskeys don't reach.

Expect the extended maturation to show in the glass, with darker, more concentrated notes of oak, dried fruit, and baking spice layered over the vanilla and caramel character that comes from years in wood.
