Joseph Gold Elite Arak (350ml)

Arak from Israel, Joseph Gold Elite is a traditional anise-forward spirit made with grapes and anise seed. Like most araks, it turns cloudy white when water is added, a visual hallmark of the category that comes from the anethole compounds in the anise dissolving unevenly as dilution occurs. The spirit carries the clean, herbaceous character typical of Levantine arak production.

Expect pronounced anise and licorice on the nose and palate, with a dry, warming finish. This works best diluted with water or ice, where the flavor opens up and becomes more approachable.
