Les Allees de Cantemerle is the secondary wine from Château Cantemerle, a Haut-Médoc estate in Bordeaux. This 2019 blend carries the region's classical balance of structure and fruit in a more approachable, early-drinking style than the château's main label.
The wine announces itself with an inviting, aromatic nose that pulls you in immediately. Bright red fruits dominate, strawberries, raspberries, and red cherries, with enough liveliness to keep things fresh and fun. Underneath that fruit-forward character sits a spicy thread that gives the wine backbone and keeps it from feeling soft. It drinks with an easy, juicy manner that doesn't take itself too seriously, though that spice lingers through the finish, adding a touch of grip. This is wine built for pleasure rather than cellaring, best enjoyed while its fruit is still at its peak.

Wonderfully aromatic and expressive on the nose - the aromas really just jump out the glass. So inviting. Juicy, red fruits - strawberries, raspberries and red cherries - quite bright and a nice change from the dark fruits. This is lively and fun, light with hints of spice underneath the fruit giving some structure and backbone. Hard not to like for its fruit-forwardness and easy drinking style. Though does have a spicy undertone which comes through on the finish?! Wood/alc.
