Ribolla Gialla is the native white grape of the borderlands where Slovenia's Brda meets Italy's Friuli, and here it comes from Marjan Simcic, whose Cru Selection bottling represents his more concentrated fruit. This is the 2022, a dry white built for texture as much as freshness.

The nose leans toward crushed nectarine, lemon oil, and a stony, wet-slate quality. On the palate it is silken and juicy, its acidity keeping ripe yellow apple lifted, with a faint whisper of mint running through. The finish is medium in length and closes on a quiet mineral note.
