A co-fermented white built from Sauvignon Vert and Ribolla Gialla (roughly four parts to one), this is the 2019 release in Marjan Simcic's Numerals series out of Slovenia's Brda. A blend of sauvignon vert and rebula, co-fermented in Clayver vats and then aged for about a year in old 500-liter barrels. Shows lots of finesse and complexity with light honey, mineral and stones. Medium body. Refined and pinpointed. Just hints of cloves and spices at the end. Drink now. (James Suckling)
The 2019 Numerals One is a deep golden wine. A blend of 80% Sauvignon Vert and 20% Ribolla Gialla, it wafts up with minty freshness as dusty dried flowers mix with spiced orange peels and nectarines. This wine is soothingly round with a pleasant inner sweetness and liquid floral concentration that contrasts its ripe orchard fruits. It is staining and long, with a sour citrus twang that forces the palate to salivate through the pleasantly chewy finale. (Vinous, October 2025)
