Pinot Noir grown in Goriška Brda, the hilly winegrowing zone in western Slovenia that shades into Italy's Collio, is the story here, bottled by Movia from the 2022 vintage. This is a cool-inflected, continental take on the grape, made in a region better known abroad for whites but with a long history of red Burgundian varieties.

Expect the lighter-framed, red-fruited profile that Pinot Noir tends to show from cooler hillside sites, with the acidity and finesse the variety is prized for rather than heft. A red for the table more than the cellar.
