New Riff Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)

Kentucky straight bourbon made just across the river from Cincinnati, this pour comes from New Riff Distilling in Newport, on the northern edge of Kentucky's whiskey country. Bottled at 50% ABV, it belongs to the modern wave of Kentucky distilleries building their own house style rather than sourcing from elsewhere.

Bourbon at this proof tends to carry weight and clarity in equal measure, with the corn-forward sweetness, caramel, and baking-spice notes that define the category, plus enough grip to hold up over ice. It works neat for anyone wanting to read what New Riff is doing, and it has the backbone to anchor an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan without getting lost.
