High in the Red Hills of Lake County, at the northern edge of California's wine country, Obsidian Ridge farms the fruit behind this 2022 red, called Half Mile. It is a still red in the Bordeaux-leaning mold that thrives at Lake County's elevation, where cool nights help red grapes hold their line while the sun does its ripening work.
