Orin Swift's Mannequin is a California Chardonnay built on a broader canvas than the single varietal suggests. The 2022 blend incorporates small portions of Muscat Canelli, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Viognier alongside the primary Chardonnay, all fermented in French oak (27% new). This allows the winemaking team to draw fruit from across the state, from Santa Barbara north to Mendocino.

The wine shows lemon curd and toasted nuts over white peach, with a medium to full body that feels expansive and generous on the palate. There's a warm, custardy quality to the finish that gives the whole package a soft, enveloping feel. It's the kind of Chardonnay that invites you in rather than demanding your attention.
