Realm Cellars' 2021 Moonracer is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags Leap District, a subregion of Napa Valley known for producing structured, mineral-driven reds. This wine shows the district's characteristic tension and textural refinement.
The nose opens with crushed flowers, mint, and cedar alongside red and black cherry fruit, with hints of sweet pipe tobacco and rose petals. The palate is full-bodied and silky, with a suede-like texture that feels elegant rather than heavy. Pine needles, blackcurrant, and forest floor notes build on the mid-palate, where firm, well-integrated tannins provide structure without roughness. A mineral quality, almost chalky in its clarity, runs through the wine, and the finish brings a dry tension that keeps the palate clean and refreshed. This is a wine that will continue to evolve; it's best approached after a few years of bottle age.

This is very expressive with pine needles, pine cones, blackcurrants, forest floor, and ink pot. Full-bodied and chewy with firm and structured tannins. Mineral with an almost chalky character that comes through clearly. Dry tension at the end that keeps your palate refreshed. Drink after 2027.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Moonracer is aromatic and silky, with a gorgeous bouquet that makes a strong opening statement. Crushed flowers, mint, cedar, sweet pipe tobacco, red cherry/plum fruit and rose petals are some of the notes that grace this elegant, wonderfully polished Cabernet.
A strong effort, Realm's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Moonracer is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, coming from a mix of older vines and newer plantings. Mixed red and black cherries appear on the nose, accented by hints of cedar and spice, while the medium- to full-bodied palate brings a suave, suede-like feel—that famous Stags Leap District texture. Ending long and harmonious, this is just a wonderful effort.
