Reposado tequila, aged between two months and a year in oak, comes from the lowlands of Jalisco at Siete Leguas. The distillery works with blue agave harvested from their own fields, using traditional methods to extract and ferment the heart of the plant before distillation. The resulting spirit then rests in oak to develop complexity while preserving the agave's core character.
Expect a balanced profile that bridges the bright, peppery notes of unaged tequila with the softer wood influence of time in barrel. The oak brings subtle vanilla and caramel undertones without overwhelming the agave's inherent sweetness and mineral quality. This is versatile enough for sipping neat or on ice, and holds its own in margaritas and tequila cocktails where you want the spirit itself to be present rather than merely a base.
