Taittinger's Cuvee Prestige Rosé is a non-vintage Champagne blend anchored by Pinot Noir (40 percent), with Chardonnay (35 percent) and Pinot Meunier (25 percent) rounding out the profile. The current release incorporates reserve wines from 2019, 2018, and 2016, giving it complexity and structure beyond the base vintage. A small portion of still red wine, about 14 percent of the total blend, adds color and phenolic weight.
What emerges is a wine with real substance. You'll find aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, and pink grapefruit layered with brioche and a subtle spice note. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, with ample fruit presence balanced by bright, driving acidity. The red wine component gives the wine a phenolic grip and richness that sets it apart from lighter Champagne rosés; there's crushed flower and candied citrus character alongside the berry core. It's ready to drink now and will hold well for several years. Store it away from direct light, as the clear glass bottle offers no protection from light strike.

The 2021-based release of Taittinger’s NV Prestige Rosé, incorporating reserve wines from 2019, 2018 and 2016 and disgorged in January 2025 with a dosage of nine grams per liter, is showing well, revealing aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and pink grapefruit mingling with brioche and timut pepper. Medium- to full-bodied, ample yet vibrant, it includes 14% still red wine, which lends attractive phenolic grip to its rich core of fruit. It is a blend of 35% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier. Its clear-glass bottle leaves it vulnerable to light strike, so it is essential to avoid exposure to direct sunlight. The NV Champagne Prestige Rose is a deeper pink but still bright color and is round and fruity with mixed berries, crushed flowers, and candied citrus. Full-bodied, it has a rich texture and structure and is ready to drink now or over the next few years. (Jeb Dunnuck, December 2025)
