Grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna in eastern Sicily, this white from Tenuta delle Terre Nere is a 2024 Etna Bianco, a still blend built around the high-altitude white grapes of the region. Etna Bianco is known for its mineral cut and bright, nervy acidity, the mark of fruit ripened at elevation on cooler volcanic ground.

Lots of fresh-cut lemons and grapefruit on the nose and palate with some sliced apples and pears. It’s medium- bodied with bright acidity and a linear, vivid finish. Balanced and refined for an Etna white. Drink now. (James Suckling, June 2026)
A whiff of lemon oil mixes with sweet mint and crushed rocks as the 2024 Etna Bianco opens in the glass. This is juicy and playful in feel with ripe melon and a cascade of inner florals that swirl throughout. It leaves a salty sensation and nuances of candied citrus on the wickedly fresh finish. (Vinous, May 2025)
