This is Palazzi, a 100% Merlot bottling from Tenuta di Trinoro in the hills around Sarteano, drawn from high-elevation, remote parcels and released under the Toscana IGT designation. The 2023 is a comparatively approachable vintage of the wine, produced in tiny quantities, and it makes a case for the grape as something both powerful and poised.
