A Bordeaux-style blend grown high in Tuscany's Val d'Orcia, this is the more approachable sibling to Tenuta di Trinoro's flagship bottlings, drawn from the same elevated vineyards and the same low-yield, tightly selected approach. The 2023 Le Cupole leans on Merlot (41%) and Cabernet Franc (39%), with smaller portions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot rounding out a Toscana IGT that aims for immediate pleasure rather than long cellaring.
Dark fruit leads, blackberry above all, wrapped in a velvety richness that fans out broadly across the palate. Around that core sit grilled herbs, chocolate, new leather, and a lick of clove. The tannins are polished and well judged, which gives the wine an open, generous personality and makes it easy to enjoy in its youth.
