Pinot Nero is the Italian name for Pinot Noir, and in the cool, mountain-shadowed vineyards of Alto Adige it tends toward a lighter, more perfumed style than its warmer-climate cousins. This Riserva bottling from Terlano, drawn from the Monticol site and carrying the Alto Adige DOC designation, is a 2022 built along those lines: a red shaped by altitude and Alpine air, given the extra aging that the Riserva category requires before release.
