The Gran Selezione tier sits at the top of the Chianti Classico hierarchy, and this bottling from Tolaini comes from a small, densely planted parcel (roughly 7,350 vines per hectare across about two hectares). Montebello Sette is born from a 2ha plot densely planted with 7,350 vines per hectare. Whole berries see a 40-day maceration before refining in 25hl French and Austrian oak casks.
